Live Review: 46664 London

Friday night in London town was a bit of a special one, because if you're weren't stuck in a muddy field in Somerset then there was a big field in the shape of Hyde Park that loads of us could go to to celebrate Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday. Over the years Mandela has developed an AIDS charity called 46664 and it's become famous for putting on big name concerts while raising money.

This one had received possibly more coverage than ever before all thanks to the small questions of whether Amy Winehouse would manage to get herself into the groove and show up. And we're pleased to report that she did performing 'Rehab' somewhat scattily before banging out a brilliant version of 'Valerie' . As well as Amy there were plenty of other big names to show for their short sets, and the whole thing was pulled together by the brilliant Will Smith . Now there's something about Will that just exudes positivity and when he came out onto the stage it really felt like you were in the presence of a superstar. The crowd were loving him and never more than when he suddenly decided that he fancied a bit of a performance everyone went crazy. Kicking off with 'Switch' , Will unbelievably went off into the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme tune much to our and everyone else's delight.

Leona Lewis also delighted the crowd, looking as gorgeous as ever and putting in her first live public performance with stunning versions of 'Better in Time' and the epic 'Bleeding Love' . Razorlight jammed their way through 'Before I Fall To Pieces' and 'Don't Go Back To Dalston' but it was Jamelia who was given the honour of performing three songs delving into her back catalogue for 'Thank You' and 'Superstar' and duetting on a cover of Stevie Wonder's 'As'.

Like all epic concerts should, Queen and Paul Rodgers pulled off a brilliant finale performing 'One Vision' , the magnificent 'Show Must Go On , foot-stomping 'We Will Rock You' and the singalong 'We Are The Champions' before giving Paul himself a nod by performing his biggest hit 'All Right Now' by Free .

Amy joined Queen and Jerry Dammers back on stage to perform 'Free Nelson Mandela' ending a brilliant day in the park celebrating a brilliant man.
