McFly's A Bargain!
They've ditched their record label in an attempt to become more serious and now it seems McFly are looking for a middle class, right wing audience by teaming up with the Daily Mail
The boys' brand new album 'Radioactive' is due out in a couple of weeks, but instead of releasing it via the shops, they'll be including it with The Mail on Sunday on July 20th, putting it straight into the homes of 5.8 million readers.
The Mail on Sunday are obviously very happy about this saying, "As part of our innovation in bringing new music to the masses and exactly a year since we created a world first with Prince's new album, we are absolutely delighted to be involved with one of hte UK's biggest selling pop acts, McFly. We're very excited to be giving away the new album free with the paper and are confident that millions of our readers will love the new album."
McFly are loved like crazy by their fans who are particularly keen on promoting the band and making sure they always go to #1. But the band are pretty love / hate. If you don't love them you probably won't buy their album or even take a chance on it. This way McFly are hoping that because you're getting it for free so you might as well give it a spin and you might become a new fan

Aww give the guys a break! I think it's a great idea and if they're doing all they can to prove they are real musicians then I think they deserve a pat on the back. Give them a try - they're pretty good.

I think this is a great idea. I will also be buying a proper copy because it come with lots of extras - I think lots of people will listern to it and, hopefully, like it. I think their new single is awsome too! They have taken a big step and it will pay off - good luck to them!

A great move by McFly there. Not only will the 5.8 million Daily Mail readers have the album but also the fans of McFly will be the Daily Mail just for the album. This just shows McFly are all about the music, not the money. They are a great, talented band. I'd guess that the people who usually buy the Daily Mail would not be the kind of audience who would be interested in McFly.. but since they're getting the album for free this could help them target other audiences other than young teenaged girls. I'm 19 and male and I appreciate their music.
